Antique Coffee Grinder

Coffee Grinder
Coffee from the Arabic word Qah’wa means wine. The brew is made up of coffee plant or popularly known as coffee beans. The plant has two species namely, coffea canephora and coffea Arabica. Canephora contains 50% more caffeine than Arabica.
Today, there are several ways and methods in preparing coffee as an all time favorite drink. There are several utensils and equipment used. There are also different raw materials utilized to complete a particular process. If the whole coffee bean is the only raw material, then it needs to undergo a grinding process first. The best brewed taste will wholly depend on the fineness of the ground bean. The level of oil extract of the bean is responsible for the best coffee taste.
There are three ways in cutting the beans. One is burr grinding. The beans are loaded into the container with disc type burrs that will tear them at a specific speed. It does not burn the coffee but gives enough warmth. Another is the blade grinder that hacks the beans into larger and smaller articles at a faster rate. The speed sometimes burns the coffee because of too much friction created by the blades. And the last is pounding. If there are no grinders available, you can pound the coffee using a pestle or a mortar.
The antique coffee grinders are used to ground fresh coffee beans. It is perfect to experience the extra freshness and complete taste of your coffee especially in the morning. These types of grinders have a wooden material. They are manually operated. They are similar to the other two grinders in terms of crushing beans but with less possibility of burning the coffee. People who love to prepare their best coffees at home will like these antique coffee grinders.
The word antique may sound too old fashioned. These types of grinders are far from being centuries old. But even the design of a 19th century antique grinder can be equally attractive with the modern grinders. They are even more of the classy type even though they seem to look like the old fashion coffee grinder. They do not burn your ground bean and they do not produce that machine-like noise. Most designs fit your modern kitchen. They are made mostly of wood and are intentionally unpainted. Others create a raw finish touch. The handle used for grinding is made of iron. Most designs will perfectly blend if you have wooden cupboards.
