Coffee Mugs

Some people just cannot seem to get enough of coffee. You know the type…has to have an industrial strength cup of java in the morning, going through enough cups in the day to kill a rhino, capped off perhaps by a nice latte in the afternoon. For people such as these the prospect of traveling where they will be away from their beloved cuppa joe for long periods of time would be something akin to torture. And it is for these same people that travel coffee mugs make the perfect gift.

Of course one might argue that there are any number of places that you can stop by to get some coffee on the road but for those who are always on the move and for whom time is of the essence, stopping off somewhere to pick up a cup of coffee–no matter how crucial–is simply out of the question. Then again you could get your caffeine fix in a styrofoam cup from a takeout place, but as any true blue coffee drinker will tell you, that is no way to drink coffee, not to mention the fact that such quickie coffee places often leave a lot to be desired. Clearly travel coffee mugs serve a tremendously useful purpose and they are the ideal solution in cases such as these.

You might think that travel coffee mugs are fairly utilitarian and simple implements and they certainly can be. You don’t really need much other than something that is able to hold adequate amounts of your favorite brew. You might be surprised to find out however that travel coffee mugs come in an astoundingly huge array of different shapes, sizes, colors and designs. There are engraved coffee mugs, monogrammed coffee mugs, plain ones, personalized ones, and as to the material don’t even get us started! There are plastic ones, ceramic ones, glass mugs, and even futuristic steel mugs that look like they came from straight out of the space age.

You might be wondering what just what it is that makes travel coffee mugs any different from any other coffee mug that you can find in the dish rack of any typical modern home. Well, think about the environment where this particular type of coffee mug will be used in: in a car. Prone to jostling, jiggling, speeding up and quick stops, a car is simply no place for an ordinary ceramic or plastic coffee mug…unless you enjoy the feeling of a lapful of hot coffee! Coffee mugs that are specifically designed for travel then will need to have a lid that not only keeps the coffee inside where it belongs but also keeps it as hot as it should be for those long drives. Travel coffee mugs also need to be of a certain size in order to fit into most commercially available beverage holders, so large or oddly shaped mugs will simply not do.

If you need to have coffee on the go as many people do, a good travel coffee mug is your best bet!
