Coffee Mugs
If you are like most coffee drinkers, then you probably like it hot…your coffee that is! Most true blue coffee drinkers would not even dream of going near a cup of coffee that is less than near the absolute boiling point. If they could get it just as soon as it comes to a boil, then all the better! This is totally understandable, after all, very few things in this world can soothe the soul like a large cup of steaming freshly brewed coffee can. If you live in a place where cold mornings are a normal everyday occurrence, then the need for a mug of coffee that can melt the arctic glaciers becomes all the more essential!
As hot as you would want your coffee, you certainly would not want it to spill all over you. Hot coffee, for all its wonderful soothing properties belongs in you, not on your lap! Which is where it just may end up if you do not have insulated coffee mugs.
Insulated coffee mugs are just the thing for those who like their coffee extra hot all the time for as long as possible. And really, most hard core coffee drinkers fall into that category. As great as a freshly brewed steaming hot cup of java is, possibly the worst thing to have is a lukewarm cup of coffee. The danger with hot coffee is of course that it may spill on you and cause quite a nasty burn. This where insulated coffee mugs come in handy.
These types of mugs are designed to keep the heat of the coffee where it cannot do any harm and where it belongs: inside the mug. How many times have you tried to pick up a cup of coffee that was too hot to the touch? Probably more times than you can remember, unless you happened to have dropped it because of the heat, in which case it is a memory that you would soon rather forget! This is precisely why many disposable Styrofoam coffee cups that you can pick up in a fastfood joint or in a drive through come with raised ridges near the top of the cup so the heat has a chance to dissipate enough for you to be able to pick it up safely…well, that is the idea at least.
Insulated or thermal coffee mugs actually serve a dual purpose in keeping the heat inside the cup. Since the heat is not allowed to escape, your coffee stays as hot as possible for a much longer period of time; certainly for far longer than it would if it were placed in an ordinary ceramic, china, plastic or even stainless steel coffee mug.
With insulated coffee mugs, not only will your coffee stay nice and hot for as long as possible, you can also avoid any unfortunate accidents that can result from spilling hot coffee. And given these two reasons alone, it really makes perfect sense to pick yourself up a couple of these thoroughly useful coffee mugs.
