It was bound to happen. My girlfriend has decided since I’m talking about coffee so much, we should hold a coffee tasting party. She went to the bookstore and bought Coffee by Kenneth Davids. Davids describes how to do a tasting in the book so we’re going to follow his guidelines. (Update: I appreciate those of you who let me know a coffee tasting is properly called cupping. This is my girlfriend’s thing, and if it decreases the "why do we need another bag of coffee," discussion. Well need I say more?)
She has a point, there are tasting parties for everything else. Why not coffee? So at the end of the month, we’re having a coffee tasting party.
What types of coffee do you think should be included? Post your comments and let me know.
